î Ircona selected as a supplier for SwitchCore XPEEDIUM3 reference design platform. Dublin, Ireland—July, 2006— Ircona, the leading independent designer of leading edge electronic systems today announced that SwitchCore, a developer of integrated switching devices for Internet and data communications, has selected Ircona for development, and supply, of the reference designs and evaluation boards for their next-generation Xpeedium3 switch chip. By selecting Ircona, SwitchCore has gained access to a design team with extensive experience of high speed design with proven design methodology. The selection of Ircona also allows SwitchCore to scale resources rapidly to participate in customer design project and has given SwitchCore access to a specialist partner for the manufacture of reference platforms for their customer base. Ircona has a proven track record of high speed, high performance product design for leading High Technology companies with in-house capabilities in all areas required to bring products from concept to full volume ramp.
